If we’re being honest, all moms deserve all the credit. Moms are constantly being underrated for all that they do. All the cooking, cleaning, everything for the kids, and everything in between. Motherhood is not an easy journey, but for this instance I want to focus on working moms.
I know I just got back into the working game, but I’ve been a working mom many times before. There are things I remember, things I forgot, and things that are new. It seems like such a weird thing to be back for me. Seriously though working moms deserve all the credit. Most people don’t get lucky enough to work a 9 to 5, sometimes it’s swing shift or night shift. If you’ve ever worked night shift or swing shift you know how exhausting it can be. Now imagine working that shift and coming home to take care of your kids, clean, cook. Yeah moms do all that.
I’m not even talking about normal 8 hour shifts either. Some moms work 10, 12, or even longer shifts just to stay afloat. As if working wasn’t enough, they come home and do everything else. Clean the house. Do the laundry. Cook the meals. Make all the lunches. Get backpacks ready for school. Sign all the permission slips. Help with all the homework. Moms go to work every day and come home to keep working every day. Their work is never done and they never stop to rest. They just keep going because everything evolves around them being their best and doing their best at all times.
This is why working moms deserve all the credit. They never stop working. Motherhood is a job all on its own, let alone holding a job while doing it. To the working moms, you deserve all the credit. Thank you for working tirelessly at your job. Thank you for working tirelessly at home to keep up with all the cleaning, cooking, and everything else. Thank you for working tirelessly in motherhood doing the best you can. You are a rock star. The real MVP. I appreciate everything you do and I’m sorry anyone would ever discredit all that you do day in and day out.
