As far as the quarantine goes, it wasn’t all that bad. I’m pretty much a homebody anyway, so not having to go anywhere was a relief. Sometimes I really, really dread going places. Not a fan of being told I can’t go anywhere though. I’m an adult, I can do what I want, at least until a pandemic hits.
We’re in Oregon. Schools closed on March 13th and the stay at home order was implemented on March 23rd. Shortly after that distance learning started. Distance learning sucked, but wasn’t that bad once we got the hang of it. I’m not qualified to teach these kids and if I had it my way I’d never have to distance teach again. You never know what the future holds though.
Quarantine has had it’s pros and cons, but the best thing about quarantine is hands down not having to live up to society’s expectations. To be a woman how I want to be a woman. To be able to wear sweats all day, not do my hair, not wear makeup, just chill in my natural state without any judgment. That’s the dream right? No perfect hair, makeup, eyebrows, or clothes. Just lounging around being 100% unapologetically you. That is hands down the best part of quarantine.
