Things are going to be a little different on the Sassy Mamaroo homefront for the next little while. I hope you all enjoy and continue to follow me.
First off I want to say teachers are amazing and they’re the real MVPs. They’ve worked tirelessly and continue to do so for their students. Honestly I don’t know how they do it. These kids are straight up monsters and y’all just take them in, love them, and teach them like it’s no big deal. How do you do it? Is there a secret you’re keeping from us parents because we’re not okay and you need to share.

With that being said, now parents are thrown into being teachers for their kids. Am I the only one worried? Like I’m not an idiot, but uh these kids ain’t learning common core math. They’re learning to carry the old school way. I’ll just apologize now for anything their teachers have to fix next year.
“I don’t know that way. Why would they change math? Math is math. MATH IS MATH!”
Bob Parr (Incredibles 2)
I don’t hate distance learning. I know right now it’s the only option we have with everything shut down and everyone quarantined. I just hate that I’m the one that has to do it. It took us forever to get into a routine, but now that we have one, it’s not that bad. I’m not built to be teaching these kids math or science. That’s why I don’t homeschool. I’m not made for this. The only thing keeping me going is knowing other parents are out here struggling too. Us parents will survive this, our kids however may not.
Teachers I now see those mugs we give you are not enough. You’re dealing with everyone’s little monsters and you deserve so much more. Wine, you’re getting wine next year. I don’t know how you do it, but I’m thankful you do because I can’t.
