Thank You For Being My Best Friend

When I first met you 12 years ago I had no idea the impact you’d have on my life. You drove over 1,200 miles to surprise me. That’s true love. That’s true friendship. That’s completely nuts, but I’d do the same for you. Saying goodbye as you drove back home was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I know I said I wouldn’t cry, but I totally did. Remember when I burnt your eye? I’m so sorry about that. It was an accident I swear. I’m so glad you’re not blind or mutated, I’d still love you even if you were. You are my best friend, my soulmate. I love you more than you’ll ever know and I appreciate you so, so much. I’m the person I am today because of you, so here’s to you.

Thank you for being my best friend.

Thank you for always forgiving me.

Thank you for always making the time to call me as much as life allows.

Thank you for loving my kids as much as I do and being the best aunt.

Thank you for letting me vent about everything – the good, the bad, the frustrating, and the down right silly things.

Thank you for always making me laugh.

Thank you for all the beautiful memories over the years.

Thank you for being the you-est you there is.

Thank you for all the advice, even when I didn’t want it.

Thank you for always making me feel special in the smallest ways.

Thank you for understanding life gets busy and I forget to call you back.

Thank you for supporting me in all my adventures over the years.

Thank you for all the encouragement.

Thank you for calling me out on my bullshit.

Thank you for always saying “you’ve got this.”

Thank you for all the happy tears.

Thank you for loving my blue eyeshadow phase.

Thank you for never wanting me to change and loving every screwed up piece of me.

Thank you for always being there.

Thank you for loving me.

Thank you for everything.
